ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Accreditation
ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ was granted University status and degree-awarding powers by Royal Charter in 1966. As an accredited institution, all degree programmes undergo rigorous internal academic approval processes to ensure high academic standards. Our qualifications are internationally recognised and valued.

International Accreditations
Our Dubai campus has received Initial Institutional Licensure and full accreditation for all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes from the UAE's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research through the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA). This recognition confirms that our academic offerings meet rigorous national and international standards, enhancing the credibility and regional mobility of our graduates.
In Malaysia, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ collaborates closely with the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) to secure accreditation for our programmes. The MQA is responsible for quality assurance in higher education, ensuring that accredited programmes comply with the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF). This accreditation assures students of the quality and recognition of their qualifications, both locally and internationally.

Our Approach to Managing PSRB Accreditations
The University adheres to the , which outlines the principles and practices for maintaining and enhancing academic quality. This framework ensures that ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ consistently upholds high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment, while also continuously seeking to enhance the student experience.
Each School at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ is responsible for:
- Overseeing its PSRB accreditations.
- Preparing and organising the necessary evidence and documentation for accreditation reviews and re-accreditation events.
- Coordinating and facilitating accreditation site visits and meetings with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensuring accreditation reports are reviewed, and any recommendations are actioned.
- Maintaining up-to-date records of accreditation statuses.
- Ensuring that any changes or recommendations from PSRBs, such as amendments to curricula or learning materials to maintain industry relevance, are implemented and reflected in programme offerings.
- Notifying Academic Quality of any new accreditations, re-accreditation events, or significant changes.
Central oversight of accredited programmes is maintained by Academic Quality, which ensures accurate reporting to external bodies, including the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) and the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). Accreditation data is also reported to the University Committee for Quality & Standards (UCQS).
Data Sharing and Responsibility
During the accreditation process, PSRBs may require information, including limited personal data of students and staff, for quality assurance purposes. Data sharing is managed in accordance with University data protection policies and is subject to formal data sharing agreements.
