We encourage you to register and make use of the GP service most convenient for your campus. Please familiarise yourself also with the procedures for self-certificating after a period of illness as well as obtaining a medical certificate for longer absences.

Health Centre

At our Edinburgh Campus we have a purpose-built health centre housing the University Health Service and Dental Practice, which provides a full range of UK National Health Service (NHS) medical and dental services.

Registering with the Centre

You can register as a new patient at the Centre at any time. Please remember that you must be registered to receive its services.

To register with the Doctor you will need to complete a General Practice Registration (GPR) form. The registration forms can be downloaded from the website or by visiting the Health Centre.

Once you have registered you will have access to a range of healthcare services.

Services and staff available

The centre has a full complement of medical, dental and nursing staff, as well as a community team that provides services such as psychiatric nursing, midwifery, health visiting and district nursing on a sessional basis.

There is also a private (non-NHS) physiotherapy service and private (non-NHS) podiatry service.
