Postgraduate study
Photonics and Quantum Sciences presents us with the exciting and ongoing challenge of attempting to understand the physical world around us and of applying this knowledge to enable future technological advances. Reflecting this challenge, our taught masters programmes and research doctorates allow our students to develop their skills in a world class institute.
Doctoral research takes one of two forms. Traditional PhD students spend their time as part of one of our research groups in their chosen topic. Among other opportunities, we are also part of several Doctoral Training Centres:

Alternatively, reflecting our close links with industry, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ leads the which places students in a commercial or industrial environment for the majority of their research.
